What is the "Active Area" function? |
The “Active Area™” function is a unique way of searching through an images format. The active area function is loosely based on the photographers Rule of Thirds. The rule of Thirds uses imaginary lines (two vertical and two horizontal) to dissect the image into 9 squares. These lines are to guide the photographer on where to place active points in the photograph. We utilize this rule with our “Active Area” search function.
On upload of your work you can select where your active points are on our 9 squared 3 x 3 grid. Select what areas are full of your active points while leaving the areas without content blank. The user can then search for a specific layout for their project. For example if the user is looking for specific work that has a left side orientation, they can the use the search function by clicking on all the left side squares and hitting search.
