General Guidelines
Any participation of this sites area where rules have been established and posted constitutes a binding agreement to those posted rules and regulations. Newdarkroom will not be held responsible for any violations of those rules and all responsibility will thusly be held by the user. So please be sure to read all regulations and rules before proceeding to access the website as a member.
Content inspection and acceptance
Every day people are uploading many files to NewDarkRoom. Each photo goes through an inspection process that guarantees that only the best photos become available for sale. We have many trained content approvers scanning through each and every photo and illustration making sure they meet the NewDarkRoom standards.
Not all photos uploaded to NewDarkRoom make it on the site. Sometimes there are certain qualifications that are not met by the up loader. If your upload is rejected by one of the approvers and you think that the rejection is unfounded you may contest the rejection. If you want to contest the rejection or would like the rejection explained in more detail please use the support form located on the navigation page.
If an image is rejected it may not be posted in the message forum or any other posting area on the website for others to evaluate or critique. Doing this may result in a banning from the forum or if occurring after warning may result in loss of use and cancellation of membership. All posts questions judgments from the approvers will be removed immediately without notice.
While trying to keep NewDarkRoom at it’s highest standards there are limitations of approval failures. If any one person fails a given amount of uploads in a set amount of time may result in an uploading suspension (or site banning if found credible).
Copyrights
Here at NewDarkRoom Copyright infringement and intellectual properties are of the highest order. We do everything in our power to make sure all accepted photos do not infringe on any known copyrights or intellectual properties. Known copyright infringements from any user can result in a complete site ban among other legal consequences. Anyone in violation of a copyright might also face other consequences such as infringement notices sent to other stock photography websites, the NewDarkRoom community in whole (by forum or other means such as main page notifications) and the original copyright holder of the work.
Keywords
Keywords are an extremely important part to selling your photo. Our search engine runs strictly off of the words you provide on upload. With that, we ask that you do not use any profanity or other words that might be unfit unless deemed suitable to the content in question. NewDarkRoom reserves the right to edit any keywords associated with the upload, either in deletion or in assistance in sell ability. Use of out of context keywords after warning may result in temporary uploading ban.
Image Comments
You are allowed to comment on all photos available on this website. We encourage you to leave feedback for the artist and critique their work. We ask that you bear in mind that all comments that you leave to an artist on their photos reflect how others will perceive their work and affect the sale of their work. Please keep all comments to technical issues related to the photograph or work. Please do not leave a negative comment due to personal reasons with the artist, subject, or model.
Along with the image reviews you are allowed to give each photo or illustration a rating number. Please do not be hasty with your ratings. Please do not rate an image poorly for personal reasons such as the ones mentioned above. We monitor all ratings and comments and investigate all questionable feedback left to the artist for their work. We will take severe action on anyone creating multiple accounts to directly affect the a users ratings or manipulating reviews. Anyone suspecting rating or review abuses should report such findings to the site administrator as soon as possible.
Forums
The forums section of our website is an integral part of our website. This is a main function for users in the community to get to know each other and talk about numerous topics. In the forums members are encouraged to talk about all topics. Unfortunately there are a few guidelines that must be followed while posting in the forums.
While we do moderate the forums, NewDarkRoom can not be held responsible for any of the content posted on the forums unless otherwise noted. Please keep in mind that everyone (member or non-member) can view the forums so they should be considered public.
Inner site email & Communication
We offer the ability to send inner site emails & communications. We ask that they be used for NewDarkRoom business and friendly communications. The inner site emails are not permitted to send mass emails or advertising. Any hate mail or negativity on images or content about other stock photo businesses other than NewDarkRoom are strictly prohibited.
